STRIDEHORSE.AUCTION’S FIRST EDITION ACHIEVES GLOBAL SALES

The inaugural edition of the Irish StrideHorse.Auction has concluded with international success, marking a promising start for the new online auction platform. Launching with a modest yet high-quality collection of horses, the majority of entries found new homes, highlighting the power of social media and the growing trust of buyers in online auctions. Remarkably, all buyers were new clients for the Irish organizer Ronan Rothwell.

The top-seller of the auction was the talented five-year-old Pure Speed JS (Uricas van de Kattevennen x Embassy II), who jumps with a lot of quality. He was sold for €46,000 to American showjumper Hannah Milan McLaughlin.

Also heading to the United States is a promising four-year-old mare by All Star x Cornet du Lys, known for her scope. She was secured by American rider Andrew Kocher for €21,000. Other international sales include BP Majestic, a four-year-old gelding by Rock 'n Roll ter Putte x Cavalier Royale, who will continue his development in Great Britain, and a five-year-old mare by Don VHP Z x Sam R, who is moving to Norway. The 10-year-old broodmare Be Free and her newborn filly will stay in Ireland. 

The success of this first edition confirms the global reach and relevance of digital auctions in today’s sport horse market, and StrideHorse.Auction is off to a strong and exciting start.
